Shhh! It’s a secret….

We were approached to help out another Agency who had been asked to put together a feasibility study about producing a spectacular celebration event. The event was being considered to celebrate the end of World War 1. We not only helped to produce the feasibility utilising our experience and contacts but managed to secure a number of high profile performers and the feasibility study was accepted as a blue print for the event.

We were appointed as co-producers of the event and we set about making it all happen.

The Client was The Royal Armouries and we put together a programme that would see The Armed Man being performed in front of 3000 guests and eminent dignitaries at Westminster Central Hall.

Additionally, the event was to be broadcast by Classic FM and featured the Composer Sir Karl Jenkins, Lesley Garrett, The Royal Choral Society and The Philharmonia Orchestra amongst others.

A small twist was introduced when we learned that it would also take place in the presence of The Duke & Duchess of Sussex.

The event supported Help for Heroes, Combat Stress and The Royal Foundation.

As producers, we designed the whole event and programme from the ground up and were responsible for every element of the event including ticket sales and the many details involved with a Royal visit, let alone a stage containing nearly 200 musicians and choristers.

The event received national press and TV coverage and still features on various TV documentaries to this day.

Just to add to the many complications surrounding this complex event, we also produced a pre-event reception for nearly 200 guests across the road in Church House for the many VIP guests that were in attendance.

We created a visual experience for the guests during the event when in darkness, clear acrylic silhouettes, representing the lives of many of the individuals lost to the war were subtly illuminated in the Choir stalls accompanied by the playing of the Last Post by a lone bugler. A spine tingling and very poignant moment.

The event was a huge success and raised £75,000 for the charities involved and was a fitting tribute to such an important historical moment.

Perhaps one of the most complex events we’ve been involved with when we take into account the various parties we had to co-ordinate including An Orchestra, A Choir, A number of individual performers, The Counter Terrorism Unit, Ticketmaster, The venues, the caterers, Kensington Palace, The Personal Protection Team, Police Dog search teams, Radio Broadcasters, Local Authorities, Promoters, Celebrity Management, and of course the General Public!
